Where_to_start CommentI got hooked when I went with a friend to a Creative Memories party. A lot of their stuff is pretty expensive but it gave me tons of ideas and I knew there were ways that I could do it a lot cheaper. I get ideas just from going to craft stores and... - Thu Oct 19 17:47:39 2006:
Homemade_wrapping_paper CommentI wonder how they make it? The only homemade wrapping paper I've seen is when someone wraps a gift with the comic pages. LOL.... - Thu Oct 19 17:46:04 2006:
Mosaic_Tile_Table CommentI've seen this done on those craft shows on HGTV. They really make it look easy but I think once I tackle something like this I end up saying to myself "What in the world did I get myself into?" LOL.... - Thu Oct 19 17:43:59 2006:
Headbands_Ears CommentI bought my youngest one one of those headbands for Christmas when she was in a Christmas recital. They were reindeer ears and they were so... - Thu Oct 19 17:43:09 2006:
Ukrainian_Egg_Decorating CommentI don't have steady hands either so my egg probably wouldn't look as nice. LOL. I guess I'll just stick to dyeing eggs.... - Thu Oct 19 17:41:38 2006:
Gift_tags CommentI like the ease of the self stick ones for the gifts that I have to ship out but I love being able to personalize a gift for someone by doing the tag myself. I do it for birthdays too.... - Thu Oct 19 17:40:13 2006:
School picture craft MessageMy sister loves to take my kids' school pictures and have them decorate a frame for it. She uses those popsicle sticks you can buy at the craft store and glues them all together to make a frame. She has the kids decorate the frame any way they like.... - Thu Oct 19 17:38:16 2006:
Ornament_ideas CommentWhat I love is now they have beautiful maroon and deep blue tones that are available too, not just the red bows. Her tree always looks so cute with the bows on it - simple and... - Wed Oct 18 15:15:26 2006:
Beaded_Jewelry CommentYou have some beautiful things on there. They're not too expensive either. How long have you been designing... - Wed Oct 18 15:12:25 2006:
Door hangers MessageI've bought a bunch of those door hangers of the plastic foam and had the kids decorate them any way they want. I have a big tub of different foam pieces - letters, numbers, shapes, etc. It's great because you just peel off the back - no glue is needed.... - Wed Oct 18 15:10:29 2006:
Xmas_gift_for_designing_daughter CommentThat's a great idea. My youngest is 5 and she seems very interested in fashion, etc. We do think that she will end up being some kind of fashion designer. Looking on ebay for the dressform is a great idea. I'm sure you'll find one there.... - Wed Oct 18 15:07:06 2006:
Soy_Wax CommentI didn't know that!! I think I'll start buying soy candles from now on - I hate that dark smoke after I light a candle. The smell lingers... - Wed Oct 18 15:05:52 2006:
Gift_tags CommentCardstock is the paper that they use in scrapbooking. I buy variety packs of cardstock - primary colors, pastels, textured, etc. I love having it on hand.... - Wed Oct 18 15:00:02 2006:
Baskets CommentI use a basket for my yarn when I'm crocheting. It's so much more convenient. I used to have a tote bag that I threw everything in but I like using the basket much more. I lined it with fabric so as to not get the yarn all tangled in the... - Wed Oct 18 14:57:54 2006:
Scrapbooking CommentI like to go to a local scrapbook store too rather than just going to Michael's. I find that the local stores have a nicer variety of stuff too....
